A system administrator (sysadmin), is a person who is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of the business computer systems. As mentioned before, in the software development world, there are back-end and front-end works. Most of the backend applications are known as server-side applications which need to be run on a server and it’s the sysadmin’s responsibility to prepare the proper environment for the deployment. Also, there is another role called DevOps that is created by the combination of back-end and sysadmin roles. A DevOps person is a developer that has the sysadmin knowledge (or a sysadmin that can develop).
